LONDON (AP) _ Brian May, rock star and former astronomy student, has received an honorary degree from the University of Hertfordshire.
May, 55, a founding member of the rock group Queen, was given an honorary science doctorate at the university's campus at Hertford, north of London.
He was an astronomy student at London's Imperial College and had been working on his doctorate when his rock career took off.
The honorary degree ``completes a great circle in my life,'' May said Tuesday.
