ATLANTA (AP) _ Rodney Hamilton scored 20 points and Shellord Pinkett added 17 as Georgia State rallied from a cold-shooting first half and beat Troy State 71-56 on Monday.
The Panthers (4-5) trailed 31-28 at halftime after shooting only 35 percent in the first 20 minutes, then picked up the shooting to just under 52 percent in the second half while holding the Alabama team to 31 percent.
Eric Neal led the Trojans (4-5) with 13 points and Matt Padgett and Rickey Evans each added 10.
The Panthers took the lead for good on a short jumper by Alex Savvidis for a 38-37 lead with 16:55 remaining and led by at least six points throughout the final 12 minutes.
Tildon Wright added 14 points and Terrance Evans had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Georgia State.
