ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ Shannon Johnson scored 18 points as the Orlando Miracle beat the Portland Fire 63-61 Sunday night.
Jesse Hicks gave Orlando (14-14) a 62-61 lead with 24 seconds remaining when she made one of two free throws.
The Fire, who had 18 turnovers, never got a chance at a game-tying shot. With 10 seconds left, Sylvia Crawley attempted a cross-court pass that went awry, striking Tamicha Jackson on the arm before Johnson grabbed it.
Alisa Burras led Portland (16-13) with 16 points.
It was Portland's first road loss in five games against Eastern Conference teams.
