EASTON, Pa. (AP) _ Jim John threw to Ron Rockett for a 4-yard touchdown with 33 seconds left to lift Bucknell over Lafayette 23-21 Saturday.
``I knew if I threw the ball up to Rockett, he was going to come down with it,'' said John, who passed for 245 yards and two touchdowns for Bucknell (2-0 overall, 1-0 Patriot League).
Rockett finished the day with six catches, including a 22-yard touchdown in the first quarter, for 92 yards.
Leonard Moore ran 28 yards for a touchdown with 7:15 remaining to put Lafayette (0-3, 0-2) ahead 21-17, their second lead of the game. Bucknell punted on its next possession, but the Bison defense thwarted the Leopards' attempt to run out the clock.

Willie Hill led the Bison defense with 11 tackles.
