CONCORD, Mass. (AP) — Concord police say a man believed to have smoked synthetic marijuana or used another hallucinogenic drug assaulted three police officers before being subdued with stun guns.
Two officers were treated at a hospital for minor injuries after struggling with 19-year-old Jacob Andrew Randle of Concord around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say officers responding to a report of a disturbed person found Randle at a house and tried to calm him, but he began fighting with them. The officers used stun guns to stop him.
Randle is being held at Middlesex Jail and House of Correction. He is to be arraigned on assault charges at Concord District Court. It wasn't immediately known if he's represented by a lawyer.
