SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Jaime Moreno and Ben Olsen each scored a goal and added an assist to lead D.C. United to a 4-0 victory against the San Jose Clash on Wednesday night.

Moreno began the scoring in the 41st minute on a penalty kick awarded when Richard Gough fouled Richard Williams inside the penalty area. Moreno leads D.C. United with six goals and eight assists.

Moreno helped set up United's second goal by chipping a diagonal pass over the Clash defense to Olsen, who sent a header inside the far post.

Williams and Tony Sanneh added two more goals in the second half to put the game away for the two-time defending champions.

Williams stole a Clash pass and scored in the 65th minute. Sanneh scored with an assist by Olsen two minutes after San Jose's Vicente Figueroa received a red card for a rough tackle on Roy Lassiter.

United goalkeeper Scott Garlick made five saves to earn his third shutout of the season. San Jose goalkeeper Andy Kirk has surrendered eight goals in two games after back-to-back shutouts.
