LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary, say they have assets of nearly $863,000 and because of a mortgage and other loans a cumulative net worth of $697,377.

The Clintons released a summary of their net worth Wednesday in response to queries from reporters.

In a listing of assets, they reported $158,056 in cash, $387,077 in investments, $180,200 in vested retirement benefits, $80,000 in real estate and $57,647 in personal property. All told, that totals $862,980.

The Clintons reported just two liabilities, a $64,848 real estate mortgage and a $100,755 balance on a bank loan Clinton took out for his 1990 gubernatorial campaign.

In contrast, President Bush is a millionaire - his seaside home in Maine worth more than $1 million alone - and likely independent candidate Ross Perot is a billionaire.
