OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) _ A armored truck missing with two guards was found today with a body inside, police said.

The guards, armed with a handgun and shotgun, worked for Armored Transport Company, which reported the vehicle stolen, police spokesman Arturo Bautista said. It turned up with the body, which was not immediately identified, in nearby San Ramon, he said.

Bautista identified the guards as Thomas Wheelock, 20, and Rodrigo Cortez, 30.

The amount of missing money was being withheld at the request of the the armored car company, Bautista said.
