Sep. 18, 2003
ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Sports-equipment maker K2 Inc. has tapped Robert Parish as president of its newly acquired Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. unit.
Parish, whose appointment was announced Wednesday, had been chief executive at Worth Inc., a privately held maker of softball and baseball equipment. Worth was recently acquired by Carlsbad, Calif.-based K2. Worth, founded in 1912, is headquartered in Tullahoma, Tenn.
In his new position, Parish will oversee the business lines of Worth and 116-year-old Rawlings, K2 said.
Parish replaces Stephen O'Hara, who recently left Fenton-based Rawlings to take the helm at Angelica Corp., a Chesterfield provider of linen services and uniforms for the health-care industry.
K2 completed its purchase of Rawlings in March.
