FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) _ Jermaine Bellamy ran for 161 yards on 30 carries to lead Newport News to a 33-24 win over Frostburg State Saturday.

Quarterback Chris Cox threw for a pair of scores and wide receiver Dionell Bumbrey returned an 85-yard kickoff for Newport News with 6:09 remaining.

Frostburg State halfback gained a career-high 210 yards on 22 carries in his second start of the year. The Bobcats played musical chairs with quarterbacks, having Dominic Novak and Gavin Palumbo split time.

The Frostburg State defense was led by defensive end Yinka Olarinde, who had eight tackles and two sacks. Linebacker Vince Stofa had 10 tackles, including one in the Shipbuilder backfield.
