IS MOLAS, Sardinia (AP) _ Spain's Francisco Cea shot a course-record 9-under-par 63 Friday to move within a shot of the Italian Open lead and give himself a chance to keep his European PGA Tour card.

Cea is one of seven players at 11 under through two rounds, behind co-leaders Elliot Boult of New Zealand and Richard Green of Australia.

Green carded a 65 Friday, Boult a 66.

Cea sank seven birdies, made an eagle on the par-5 12th hole, and finished without a bogey.

He needs to finish no lower than fifth in the $830,000 tournament to hold on to his tour card.

``For me, this week is extremely important,'' Cea said. ``I have to give it my all. But there are a lot of players in the same situation.''

Lee Westwood, the European tour's money leader, followed up his solid opening 67 with a 70, falling five shots off the lead.

Ian Woosnam (70 Friday) and Italy's Costantino Rocca (69) were both at 6 under.
