Rising temperatures, snowmelt bring flood concern

LUNENBURG, Vt. (AP) — The National Weather service is expanding a flood warning to include more portions of the Connecticut River in New Hampshire and Vermont.
Minor to moderate flooding is expected along the Connecticut River near Wells River, Vt. and West Lebanon, N.H. and for the portion of the river near Lunenburg, Vt., and Dalton, N.H. The warning affects portions of Essex, Windsor, Orange and Caledonia counties in Vermont and Coos and Sullivan counties in New Hampshire.
A Barton River flood warning was issued in Coventry, Vt.
A flood watch is in effect for much of Maine.
Temperatures are reached 60s and 70s across the region.
