BOSTON (AP) — D.J. Irving and John Papale scored 18 points each and led an effective 3-point shooting performance by Boston University in its 79-69 victory over Albany on Wednesday night.

The two guards each made 4 of 7 from 3-point range. The Terriers (16-11, 10-4 America East Conference), who have won five straight, made 10 of 25 behind the arc to 3 of 15 for the Great Danes (19-9, 8-6).

Papale started the second half with a pair of jumpers to increase a 32-30 halftime lead to six points. Maurice Watson Jr. followed with two more baskets for a 40-30 lead.

Albany got within five points on several occasions, but layups by Watson and Dom Morris made it 66-57 with 4:04 remaining.

Morris finished with 16 points and nine rebounds, and Watson had 11 points and 10 assists.

Mike Black scored 21 points and Sam Rowley 18 for Albany.
