PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a 4-year-old girl is being treated for burns and smoke inhalation after a house fire in Phoenix.

Phoenix Fire Department officials say the girl is in stable condition with burns to her arms and hands.

Her name hasn't been released.

Fire crews responded to the scene about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the second floor of the two-story house.

They then heard screams from a child trapped upstairs.

Firefighters found the girl, transported her downstairs and into the ambulance that took her to a hospital.

At the time of the fire, two adults and five children were home.

No other injuries have been reported.

Investigators say it's too early to determine the cause of the fire.
