Early mountain lion hunting closed in western North Dakota
Dec. 29, 2017
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Officials say mountain lion hunting is closed in southwestern North Dakota because limits have been reached.
The state Game and Fish Department says the early season limit was set at either seven total mountain lions or three female cats. A conditional season in that part of the state will open Thursday and continue until March 31 or until two mountains are killed.
The mountain lion season in the rest of the state has no harvest limit and is open through March 31.
