CULIACAN, Mexico (AP) _ Erubiel Durazo hit a two-run homer and Remigio Diaz hit a three-run shot Monday night as Mexico beat Venezuela 8-4 to force a four-way tie for first in the Caribbean Series.
Mario Encarnacion hit an RBI single in the ninth inning of Monday's early game as the Dominican Republic rallied for a 5-4 victory over Puerto Rico.
All four teams are 2-2 with two games to play each.
After Carlos Beltran's three-run homer put Puerto Rico on top 4-3 in the eighth inning, the Dominican scored two runs in the ninth off loser Archie Corbin.
Tony Batista tied the game with an RBI single, scoring Luis Polonia, before Encarnacion delivered the game-winner.
Benito Baez got the win and Dario Veras pitched a perfect ninth for the save.
Miguel Tejada homered for Dominican Republic and Gary Mathews Jr. hit a solo shot in the seventh for Puerto Rico.
Joel Ochoa allowed seven hits in seven innings to get the win for Mexico. Juan Rincon took the loss.
Luis Sojo and Roberto Perez homered for Venezuela.
