NORTH CLARENDON, Vt. (AP) — Firefighters from multiple Vermont communities responded to battle a fire at a wooden pellet production factory in North Clarendon.

Clarendon Fire Chief Corbin Shattuck says the fire's exact cause was undetermined, but that they believed it started in the electrical system and got into the ducts. The Rutland Herald reports firefighters responded to the scene at Vermont Wood Pellet Co. Thursday evening and sprayed down affected areas from the roof and within.

Shattuck says no one was injured by the fire.

Owner Chris Brooks said the factory runs 24 hours a day, but had a light shift of workers when the fire started burning. He says he doesn't expect a major disruption to business.

Shattuck says training previously conducted with the factory helped responding firefighters.
