NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, has told a federal judge he plans to plead guilty to federal charges. Cohen is facing a judge in federal court in New York on Tuesday. The charges include campaign contribution violations, tax evasion and making a false statement to a financial institution.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort stared intently at the jury as the clerk read off the counts finding him guilty of eight financial crime charges. Manafort was found guilty Tuesday in the first trial victory for special counsel Robert Mueller's team. The judge declared a mistrial on 10 other counts after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — Rapper Post Malone is thanking fans for their prayers now that his private jet that blew two tires taking off from a small New Jersey airport has landed safely in New York. In a tweet after the landing, he also disses those who "wished death" on him while he was in the air. The Gulfstream IV was headed to England and initially was diverted to Massachusetts but landed Tuesday at New York Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, 70 miles north of New York City.
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Investigators have recovered a body believed to be that of 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts, who disappeared from her hometown in central Iowa a month ago. Tibbetts was last seen July 18 while jogging in Brooklyn. Her parents reported her missing the following day. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says the body was discovered in rural Poweshiek County, which includes Brooklyn. Investigators say they were working to confirm the identity of the body.
DENVER (AP) — A man whose pregnant daughter was killed, along with his two granddaughters, sobbed with his face in his hands as a Colorado judge read formal charges against his son-in-law. Shanann Watts' father, Frank Rzucek Sr., shook visibly Tuesday as District Judge Marcelo Kopcow the charges that include murder against Christopher Watts.
