Mild Quake Jolts Central Turkey

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) _ An earthquake rattled central Turkey on Monday, sending panic-stricken people into the streets. No injuries or damage were reported.
The quake, which was assigned a preliminary magnitude of 4.0, hit the town of Ilgin near the central Anatolian city of Konya, the Turkish news agency Anatolia said. Konya lies 160 miles south of the capital, Ankara.
Two powerful earthquakes in northwestern Turkey in August and November killed more than 18,000 people.
