Honeywell Amasses Aircraft Cabin Service

PHOENIX (AP) _ Honeywell International Inc. said Tuesday it acquired the assets of Baker Electronics Inc., a supplier of aircraft cabin services.
Financial terms of the sale weren't disclosed.
Honeywell said the company will be named Honeywell Cabin Management Systems & Services and will provide business jet passengers with inflight offerings, such as high-speed Internet access and audio/video conferencing. It will continue to be based in Sarasota, Fla.
Based in Morris Township, N.J., Honeywell International is a diversified technology and manufacturing conglomerate. In the nine months ended Sept. 30, it earned $1.23 billion, or $1.50 a share, excluding items.
Honeywell's aerospace business, which is based in Phoenix, is a leading provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and services for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military, space and airport operations.
