OTARU, Japan (AP) _ Joe Ozaki, seeking his 28th career victory, retained the lead in the $1.13 million Japan Open despite shooting a 4-over 76 in the second round Friday.

Ozaki had a 36-hole total of 144 over the par 72, 7,200-yard Otaru Country Club course.

Nobumitsu Yuhara was second at 147 after a 73. Four-time tour winner Toru Suzuki was third at 148.

Jet Ozaki was in a three-way tie at 149, and five-time Japan Open winner Jumbo Ozaki, the oldest of the Ozaki brothers, was 11 strokes back at 155.
