RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina's governor has announced that the financial services firm Ernst & Young LLP is bringing 375 jobs to the state.

Gov. Roy Cooper announced Tuesday that the company will add the jobs by expanding its Charlotte operation and investing about $8 million over five years.

The expansion will include an innovation center that focuses on helping companies understand how artificial intelligence, robotics and other technologies are changing their industries.

Cooper's office said the positions in data analytics, robotics and other areas will pay salaries averaging around $75,000 or more.

About $3.2 million in state incentives have been authorized over 12 years if the company meets job creation and investment targets.
