CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) _ William ``Bud'' Eley scored 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as Southeast Missouri defeated Troy State 109-91 Friday night in the first round of the Capital Bank Classic.
Southeast will play Mississippi Valley State in the championship game Saturday night. The Delta Devils beat Idaho 63-61 in Friday's first game.
Troy State (1-2), who has been averaging 123 points a game, led 46-41 at halftime. But a three-point play by Eley gave Southeast a 51-48 lead with 18:41 remaining in the game.
The Indians (2-0) dominated the rest of the game, gaining a 96-77 lead with 4:10 remaining in the game.
All of Southeast's starters were in double figures. In addition to Eley, Jerome Days scored 21 point, Leonard Hassell 15, Reginald Crisp 14 and Allen Hatchett 11. Devron Kirksey had 14 rebounds and 9 points.
Rhodney Donaldson scored 20 points for Troy State, and Patrick Minifield added 15.
