DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) _ Waingarth rallied from last place in a field of seven to win the $100,000 Real Good Deal Stakes by a half-length at Del Mar on Monday.

Ridden by Tyler Baze and carrying 114 pounds, Waingarth covered seven furlongs in 1:22 1-5. The winner, who was the longest shot in the field at 19-1, paid $40.80, $15.40 and $4.40.

Stoney finished second and returned $9.40 and $3.40, while Bring The Heat was another length back in third and paid $2.20 to show.

Waingarth, a winner of only one of five starts previously, earned $60,000 for the victory.
