DURHAM, N.C. (AP) _ Kiesha Oliver scored 23 points as Marquette beat No. 13 Florida 77-61 Saturday in the opener of the Duke Women's Basketball Classic.

Abbie Willenborg added 17 points and Lisa Oldenburg scored 16 for the Golden Eagles (4-1).

Tiffany Travis led Florida (5-2) with 21 points. Brandi McCain had 11 points and Tonya Washington 10.

The Eagles trailed 8-2 but led 37-34 at halftime. Marquette started the second half with a 10-0 run to take control. The Eagles pushed their lead to 65-48 by the middle of the second half and the Gators got no closer than 12 the rest of the way.

Florida never solved Marquette's zone defense. The Gators trailed just 22-21 midway through the first half, but missed 11 of their last 16 shots before the break.

Marquette held off Florida in the second half by making 15 of 26 shots, including four 3-pointers. The Eagles scored 19 points from the lane in the second half, six on layups by Oliver.
