JENKS, Okla. (AP) _ A swerving dump truck rained several hundred pounds of bricks and concrete slabs down upon a group of teen-agers playing in a ditch.

Firefighters had to heave a block of concrete off of one of the four 13-year-old girls hit by the falling rubble. She was in critical condition Wednesday.

``A big rock fell on her, and I couldn't pick it up,'' said 14-year-old Jimmy Feary, one of two boys playing next to the girls when the truck overturned Tuesday. The boys received only cuts and scrapes.

The driver, whose name was not released, had swerved to avoid rear-ending a turning car when the accident occurred, police said. The driver was not injured and police did not ticket him.

``They never knew what hit them. They were all getting ready to come home,'' said Marybeth Schlupe, whose daughter, Jennifer, was treated and released.
