Pitts Wins Taiwan Open

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) _ Andrew Pitts, who held a six-stroke lead after 54 holes, was declared the winner of the $300,000 Acer Taiwan Open on Sunday when the final round was canceled by rain.
The 34-year-old American earned his first victory on the Asian PGA Tour with a 19-under-par 197 total for three trips around the 7,091-yard Sunrise Golf and Country Club course.
Pitts, who came into the tournament 18th on the tour money list with $35,639, had a 68 Saturday to take the six-stroke lead over Mardan Mamat of Singapore, who had a third-round 67.
Ted Oh of South Korea was third at 204, one stroke ahead of Aaron Meeks of the United States, Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand, and Arjun Atwal of India.
