SCHELLVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Fire officials in Northern California say crews are battling a fire at a pallet factory that has prompted an evacuation order for residents within a half mile radius.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says the blaze erupted Tuesday afternoon at the factory in Schellville, about 40 miles north of San Francisco.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports the same pallet business burned in a massive fire in 2013 that was started in nearby grass by sparks from a tow truck pulling a car dolly. The flames spread to the business and ignited 40-foot stacks of wooden pallets. Damage then was estimated at $1 million.
