Sporting wins to strengthen hold of 3rd place

LISBON, Portugal (AP) — Sporting Lisbon won 2-1 at Setubal on Sunday to retain its hold on third place in the Portuguese league.
Carlos Mane put Sporting ahead in the 39th minute and Junya Tanaka doubled the advantage just before halftime before Hyun-Jun Suk pulled one back for Setubal two minutes after the break.
Sporting is eight points adrift of second-place FC Porto. Benfica leads Porto by four points at the top.
Ruben Michael and Felipe Pardo both scored two goals each as Braga routed bottom-side Penafiel 4-0 to remain in fourth place - seven points behind Sporting.
Also, Marco Matias scored twice to lead 10-man Nacional to a 3-2 win over struggling Gil Vicente. He scored his second goal for the winner in the 81st minute, three minutes after teammate Zainadine had been given a second booking.
