ATLANTA (AP) _ Atlanta Braves left-hander Mike Remlinger was placed on the 15-day disabled list today, retroactive to April 3, because of a strained muscle in his left side.

Left-hander Derrin Ebert was recalled from Triple-A Richmond to replace Remlinger, injured while warming up during Monday's 7-4 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies.

Remlinger, along with second baseman Bret Boone, was acquired from Cincinnati in November for Denny Neagle, Michael Tucker and minor-league pitcher Robbie Bell.
