LONDON (AP) _ Manchester United moved closer to its seventh Premier League title in nine seasons on Sunday when second-place Sunderland was held to a 0-0 tie by last-place Bradford.
United beat Aston Villa 2-0 on Saturday and is 13 points ahead of Sunderland.
The United-Sunderland game was watched by new England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson. And he was disappointed to discover that United rested his likely team captain, David Beckham.
Third-place Arsenal slipped further behind after being held to a 0-0 tie by Leicester and is 15 points off the lead.
Liverpool climbed to fourth despite being held to a scoreless tie at home by Middlesbrough.
