WASHINGTON (AP) _ President Bush will meet next month with South Korean President Kim Dae-jung next month, the White House said Thursday.

Bush and Kim will have a working visit March 7 at the White House to discuss ``important security objectives on the Korean peninsula,'' White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said.

Kim's office announced the meeting Wednesday, saying it would focus on policy toward North Korea.

``The president looks forward to discussing Korean peninsula issues and to finding ways to strengthen the alliance and overall bilateral cooperation,'' Fleischer said.

The session will be the first for Bush and Kim since Bush took office Jan. 20.
