Titans' George Has Sore Toe, Ankle
Nov. 01, 2000
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Titans running back Eddie George didn't aggravate his sore knee against the Redskins, but he did do harm to the rest of his right leg.
George slightly twisted his ankle near the end of the Titans' 27-21 victory over the Redskins on Monday night, and coach Jeff Fisher said George also has a sore toe on his right foot.
George's knee, which almost kept him out of the lineup, felt fine, with not much swelling or soreness.
Quarterback Steve McNair almost left at the end of the game with tightness in his back, and Fisher had backup Neil O'Donnell warm up on the sideline.
Receiver Yancey Thigpen probably will be listed as doubtful this week because of a tight hamstring. He has missed three games and has been limited when he has played.
``Yancey _ I don't know where he's at,'' Fisher said. ``We're getting frustrated with it, but we're going to back off. When (he's) healthy, we'll get the production of him.''
