FOLSOM, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say two people arrested on suspicion of identity theft were found in a central California hotel room loaded with fake drivers' licenses, credit cards, passports and personal checks.
Police in Folsom say 30-year-old Cody Cannon and 31-year-old Candace Freitas are linked to various crimes across the state. It wasn't known Sunday if they have attorneys.
The Sacramento Bee reports the pair was arrested Friday in Rancho Cordova. Investigators also found large quantities of stolen mail and keys for opening mailboxes.
The newspaper says Cannon could face charges including conspiracy and unlawfully possessing the ID of 10 or more. It wasn't immediately known what charges Freitas might face.
