AMSTERDAM (AP) — Ajax went into the winter break leading the Dutch Eredivisie by three points ahead of PSV Eindhoven after beating last-placed De Graafschap Doetinchem 2-1 on Sunday.
Poland striker Arek Milik headed Ajax into the lead in the 26th minute, but Kristopher Vida equalized 12 minutes later, which has only won once in the league this season. Riechedly Bazoer won it for the leaders with a 70th-minute volley.
Substitute Maxime Lestienne, playing for the first time since both his parents died within weeks of one another, provided a cross for Luuk de Jong to head in a 75th-minute winner as defending champion PSV Eindhoven beat PEC Zwolle 3-2 on Saturday night to go second.
Feyenoord lost 3-1 Sunday to NEC Nijmegen to fall to third after round 17.
