OYAMA, Japan (AP) _ Michiko Hattori, last season's leading money winner, shot a 5-under-par 67 Saturday and built a five-stroke lead after two rounds of the $610,000 Fujitsu Ladies tournament.

Hattori, seeking her first victory this season and 13th overall, birdied the first two holes but bogeyed the third before adding four more birdies en route to a 9-under 135 total.

Chieko Nishida, who began the round tied for a one-shot lead with Hattori, had a 72 and was alone in second at 4-under 140.

Yukiko Ishiguro fired a 68 and shared third place at 3-under 141 with Kumiko Hiyoshi, Kayo Yamada and South Korean Ku Ok-hee.

Defending champion Kaori Higo shot a 70 for a share of seventh place at 2-under 142.
