CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man has been sentenced in federal court to serve 7 ½ years in prison for cocaine trafficking.

Thirty-year-old Edwin Ruiz, of Derry, had pleaded guilty in September to possessing cocaine with intent to distribute.

Court records say Ruiz was driving a vehicle that was stopped by police in Manchester in December 2016. A search of the car resulted in nearly 800 grams of cocaine and over $8,000 in cash.
