Delaware man faces sentencing in child pornography case
Feb. 06, 2018
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — A Delaware man who pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography is facing up to 20 years in federal prison.
A judge on Monday scheduled a May 9 sentencing date for 53-year-old Dexter Brandenburg III of Newark.
Brandenburg, who formerly lived in Elkton, Maryland, pleaded guilty Jan. 24 to one count of receipt of child pornography.
Brandenburg was arrested after authorities executed a search warrant at his home in May 2016 and found more than 2,500 video files and more than 13,000 image files containing child pornography, including sadomasochistic activity.
Officials say the videos included images of the minor daughter of Brandenburg's former live-in girlfriend, and the daughter of a neighbor.
