Colts-Dolphins Game May Black Out
Dec. 29, 2000
DAVIE, Fla. (AP) _ The Miami-Indianapolis playoff game remained 7,500 tickets shy of a sellout on Friday, meaning a Dolphins postseason home game will be blacked out locally for the first time in 17 years.
The last NFL playoff game to be blacked out was Green Bay at Detroit, seven years ago. The only other playoff game blacked out in the past 16 years was in 1992 between Houston and Buffalo.
``We're a little surprised, because we've had such fantastic luck in selling out our games over the past two years,'' Dolphins president Eddie Jones said. ``On the other hand, I know it's the holidays.''
Remaining tickets for Saturday's game were $64 seats in the upper corner and end zone.
``We're confident that the game will sell out by game time,'' Jones said.
