NEW YORK (AP) _ C.J. Thompkins scored 22 points and Justin Namolik added 19 on Saturday, leading Columbia to a 76-69 victory over Lehigh and stopping a six-game losing streak.
The start of the game was delayed for two hours when the officials, who had been scheduled for an evening game, arrived after the scheduled 4 p.m. EST start.
Columbia (4-8) built a 61-48 lead with 7:27 remaining, but the Engineers (2-9) went on a 15-6 run to cut the lead to 65-61 before Thompkins made two free throws and Gary Raimondo made a layup.
Maurice Hallett had 17 points for Lehigh and Kem Widmer scored 14. Raimondo scored 15 points for the Lions.
