GALVESTON, Texas (AP) _ Rodney Castille caught a 14-yard touchdown pass and Lane College held on for a 20-18 victory over Texas Southern as the Dragons snapped a three-game losing streak Saturday.

Dragons quarterback Damon Smith hooked up with Castille for the touchdown pass to begin the fourth quarter, and Fred Lane caught the two-point conversion attempt to go ahead 20-12.

The victory was the first for Lane (1-3) over TSU in three tries.

The Tigers (2-1) had a final shot to pull out the victory with 1:33 remaining in the game. TSU started the drive on its own three-yard line, but quarterback Cedric Douglas' pass to David Thomas with 11 seconds left in the game fell incomplete with the Tigers driving inside Lane's 45.

TSU, which led 9-6 at halftime, rallied within two points, 20-18, with 11:44 remaining in the fourth quarter when Thomas Sich scored on a 1-yard dive up the middle. But the Tigers went for the tie and Douglas' pass was incomplete.

Douglas completed 12-of-20 for 193 yards, but was sacked seven times.

Lane rushed for 111 yards for Lane College.
