The conglomerate reported earnings in line with expectations, but fell short of revenue estimates.
Talbots Inc., down $3.65 at $32.10
The upscale women's clothing retailer said March sales at stores open at least a year rose 3.2 percent, but reduced its estimates for the first quarter.
Accenture Ltd., down $1.97 at $22.28
The management consulting firm formerly known as Andersen Consulting said its second-quarter net income fell by 87 percent in large part because of investment losses.
Yahoo! Inc., down $2.21 at $16.23
The online portal posted its sixth quarterly net loss in a row, but still reported earnings that met expectations. The company said it is turning around, but some analysts questioned whether that had happened.

Two venture capital firms are acquiring the nutritional products company for approximately $685 million. Shareholders will receive $19.50 per share in cash, a premium of 26.7 percent for class A shares and 35.4 percent for class B shares.
