MOREAU, N.Y. (AP) — An upstate New York high school is holding its annual 24-hour dance marathon.
The 41st South High Marathon Dance at South Glens Falls High School in Moreau (maw-ROH') is set to run through Saturday evening with about 800 students dancing around the clock.
The students in recent years have raised more than $500,000 annually for charities and local causes.
The marathon started in 1978 as a small gathering to raise money for a local emergency squad.
