NEW CASTLE, Ind. (AP) — Police say an officer shot and wounded an eastern Indiana man who has just stabbed a woman in a domestic disturbance.
They say 41-year-old Brandon Lee Flowers of New Castle of New Castle was being treated for life-threatening injuries at an Indianapolis hospital Monday following after the shooting at his home.
After New Castle police responded to the incident Sunday night about 40 miles (64 kilometers) east of Indianapolis, one saw Flowers stab the woman in the neck and shot him.
Police say the woman was hospitalized with serious injuries.
It wasn't clear whether Flowers has an attorney who might comment on his behalf.
