WASHINGTON (AP) _ A staff member of the Chinese consulate in San Francisco became a record-setting visitor at the Pentagon on Wednesday.

The Pentagon said Wednesday that 130,861 people have taken its building tour this year, breaking a record set last year.

The record-breaking visitor was Jianyi Yang, who was given a VIP tour of the five-sided building and was presented with a secretary of defense coin and a certificate.

The Pentagon began offering public tours in 1976 as part of the nation's bicentennial celebration.
