NEW YORK (AP) _ Fatboy Slim does weddings _ but not well.

The DJ tells Rolling Stone magazine he agreed to play music at his sister's wedding recently, although his uncle handled most of the tunes that night.

Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook, says he learned the night before the nuptials that his uncle was using compact discs, not vinyl. Slim mainly uses vinyl records and didn't know how to operate a CD mixer.

By the time it got to be Slim's turn to spin discs, he had been drinking for 12 hours _ and he still didn't know how to use a CD mixer. He says songs ran out with no new ones cued up and at one point he switched everything off.

He says people were jeering at him, and the running joke was, ``You call yourself a DJ?''
