PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) _ Adam Eaton and Tom Davey, two right-handers who had impressive performances last season, agreed Thursday to one-year contracts with the San Diego Padres.

Eaton will make $235,000 and Davey $230,000. Also agreeing was shortstop Kevin Nicholson, who will get $207,000.

Catcher Ben Davis is the only unsigned player on the 40-man roster.

Eaton was 7-4 with 4.13 ERA after being called up from Double-A on May 30. Davey, who is with his third big league team, was 2-1 with a 0.71 ERA in 11 relief appearances in a September callup.

Nicholson also had his big league debut last year, making 24 starts at shortstop and one at second base. He hit .216 in 37 games, with one homer and eight RBIs.
