CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) _ Kathleen Eyre, a newswoman in the Omaha, Neb., bureau of The Associated Press, has been named AP correspondent in Morgantown, W.Va.

The announcement was made Friday by West Virginia Chief of Bureau Eric Newhouse.

Ms. Eyre, 25, succeeds Kurt Repanshek, who is the new correspondent in charge of the AP's Cheyenne, Wyo., bureau.

A graduate of Brigham Young University, Ms. Eyre first worked for the AP at Boise. She joined the cooperative at Omaha in 1982 after working as a reporter on the Ogden (Utah) Standard-Examiner.
