LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ Alan Tomidy scored 23 points to lead unbeaten Marist to a 49-47 victory over Siena Wednesday night.

Siena guard Jim Secretarski's desperation heave at the buzzer grazed off the rim and Marist improved to 4-0.

Siena (1-4) was led by freshman Micah Ogburn's 11 points. Secretarski added 10.

Both teams shot poorly from the field. Marist hit 17 of 46 shots, or 37 percent, but Siena was even worse, making just 17 of 61 attempts, or 28 percent.

Poor free-throw shooting by Marist kept the game close, as the Red Foxes made just 14 of 27 foul shots.
