MIAMI (AP) — Kevin Love of the Cavaliers will be evaluated today to see whether he needs to enter the NBA's concussion protocol. Love was hurt 1:22 into last night's game against Miami after taking an elbow from Heat center Jordan Mickey. Love missed the second half because of what was initially diagnosed as a loose tooth and then changed to concussion-like symptoms.

WASHINGTON (AP) — LaMarcus Aldridge will have an MRI on his injured left knee, with the San Antonio Spurs hoping they won't be forced to try to make the playoffs without another star player. Kawhi Leonard has already been limited to nine games with a nagging quadriceps injury. Aldridge left the Spurs' loss to the Washington Wizards with a bruised left knee.

ATLANTA (AP) — Frequently injured New York Yankees first baseman Greg Bird could be sidelined for nearly two months after undergoing surgery on his ailing right ankle. The Yankees say the operation went as planned. Bird had surgery to remove a small broken spur on the outside of the right ankle.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Spring training came to a repulsive end last night at Dodger Stadium. The exhibition finale between the Angels and Dodgers was cut short because of a foul-smelling leak that spilled sewage onto the field in the fifth inning. The game was called after a 32-minute delay, giving the Dodgers a 4-3 victory.

DALLAS (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks released quarterback Trevone Boykin shortly after his girlfriend alleged in a television interview that he physically assaulted her in Texas last week. Boykin denies the allegations, saying he wasn't involved in a physical fight.
